What We Have Been Doing

We had a Thompson family get-together at our house for Mr. Thompson's birthday. All 8 grandchildren were able to come. This is a fun crew to have around.

Just like last year, the girls and I were in Jackson when it snowed. We woke up early Sunday and tried to rush back before it melted (while everyone else was staying off the roads). Anyway, this is what was left when we got back. The girls still had fun although Emma Claire did not like Jim and I throwing snow balls at each other.
This is the snowman that Jim built by himself for us to see in case we didn't make it in time.

Back in Action

Wow, never thought things would be more chaotic without a computer, but it has felt weird and mostly I feel behind in all my "bookkeeping" stuff. My computer actually exploded or caught fire or however you want to say it. Bless the people at Contract Computers who were able to save all my pictures and most everything. We are now up and going again, so I thought I would update our blog.

These two!!!!!

You know you have been home too long with the yuckys when you don't even care what they are doing as long as it is quiet. I was cleaning and thinking, "Wow they sure are playing sweet". I came up the stairs to see Farrow Kate in distress and unable to walk because Emma Claire had dressed her for "swim lessons" so she said. The bottoms are on so that all she can do is waddle around. We got a good laugh at Farrow Kate's expense.

Our friendly neighborhood deer

I wish I could make this more clear, but maybe you can see the mom and baby deer that live here. They were literally in our back yard, and the girls got to watch them for a long time. Farrow Kate kept saying "horsey horsey". We have seen these same two several times. The momma deer has a broken front right leg, so they are easy to identify.

Sweet Valentines

Sweet Jim brought these addorable balloons home for the girls for Valentine's Day attached to CANDY. They were in hog heaven.

And he didn't leave Mommy out. These and tulips are my favorite.

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

Emma Claire and I made a heart shaped red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. YUMMY!!

Farrow Kate justed stripped off her shirt to show off her physique and her "snoop dog" pants (in the words of Jim). She wore them with one leg up and one down most of the day.

Freezing winter fun

No better way to have fun on a freezing weather than make ice cream sandwiches. My friend Liz gave us these molds for Christmas. They were very fun to make and very delicious too.
