Emma Claire turns 6 in grand style

Emma Claire has celebrated for a week with a sweet birthday party at Little Divas (right up a little girl's alley), then a night at a hotel with Gramsby, Papa T, Callie and sister (including swimming) , then awoke to flowers from Daddy on her actual birthday and more presents, then a party at school with bumblebee cake (her request), then top it off with supper with Grandmommy and a soccer game. Whew, now that is the way to celebrate.

CA girls trip!!!!!

A little history behind this trip....Four inseperable freinds, college students at MC, now spread across the country. From left, Liz (Carter) Simonis, Susan (Autry) Currier, and me. Melissa (Downy) Boutwell did not make it this time. We really missed her.

This is Susan and her family. They are the ones who live in Pasadena, CA. Her son , Josiah, just wnated to wear his dragon costume.

This is the view from the beach. Very different than Orange Beach, AL, but still beautiful.I wish I had gotten a picture of all the surfers we saw. That was amazing to me.

This picutre just had to be included because Liz raved about this grocery store. It really was cool....even if it did have a 3 level parking garage (just to go to the grocery score)

The Rose Bowl is about 2 miles from Susan's house.

This is a picture of the lemon tree in Susan's back yard. They make real lemonade all the time.

This was taken at the Huntington where they have many different and beautiful gardens. Where else would you see a whole bunch of cactus and palm trees growing together.

Yet another store that Liz raved about. It almost became a joke...but we all did rack up at this store.

This is downtown Laguna Beach. It was like being in Gatlinburg on the beach.

Pumpkin Shirts

The girls had a great time making these shirts at Grandmommy's house. They were eager to sport them at school.

Cheer camp

She missed all but one day of cheer camp due to sickness but she still got the shirt and hair ribbon (the important stuff) and got to cheer at the game.

I am not quite sure what to think about all of these sassy poses that she is giving me these days.

Yes, I would have thought they would have had Mooreville colored t-shirts, but I guess cheerleaders get to do whatever they want.

Hat Day for FK

This was not her first rodeo because she actually wore a hat last year on Emma Claire's hat day. We love Ms. Kevin Anne's class... so much fun stuff to do.
