Emma Claire's funny prayer

I have to tell a funny story about Emma Claire's bedtime prayer last night. Let me begin by saying that she was so proud at Mother's Day Out yesterday that she "rescued" Hannah Harmon from drowning in the toilet. Her teacher said they were in the gym and Hannah was locked in a stall, did not put the toilet seat down, and fell in. The teacher was trying to get under the door when Emma Claire heard her screams and came to the rescue. The teacher said that Emma Claire slid under the door and unlocked it so Hannah could be rescued. Now the prayer will make sense. It went like this......

"Dear God,
Thank you for Farrow Kate's nose to feel better. Thank you for Grandmother to feel better. Thank you for Hannah Harmon to remember to put the toilet seat down so she won't fall in next time. Amen"

Literally, that was it. Jim and I were having to cover our mouths, and Emma Claire kept asking us why we were laughing.

Farrow Kate's encounter with the ROOMBA

You may be saying, why is Farrow Kate so upset?...
It is this little thing called the "Roomba"- a robot vacuum- who knew?
Farrow Kate went into the dining room and was convinced it was after her. This is when she is trying to get up in the chair to escape.
This thing is actually wonderful. Only your mother can give you a vacuum for Christmas (although it was really Jim's present). Anyway, it is vacuuming the dining room while I clean the kitchen. It doesn't get much better than that (unless you ask Farrow Kate).

We finally did it!

Jim said the word and we got the hair chopped. I had to turn my head, and when I looked back, there was blonde hair all over the floor. Bug absolutely loves it.

So I need some opinions, bow or no bow.

The true test will be when "Mom" tries to fix it.

New Year's Fun

On New Year's, we went to Memphis to be with Jim's family and then to Jackson to be with mine.

This is a quite a duo. Emma Claire and Callie ride the redneck mobile.
Cale(my sister's big 8 year old) has mastered the go cart.

Mamaw turned 78 this week and we all celebrated at Mom's. Everyone was finally well.

This is all 8 of the Thompson grandchildren. There was no way to have them all looking at one time.

Emma Claire was so proud of her gingerbread house that Myriam, Kendra, and Hannah helped her with.

New Fun in Belden

Now, instead of following each other on tractors, it is four wheelers. We are really moving up in the world. Emma Claire loves the added speed she now has. Of course, she has already mastered driving it. She is a girl after her Daddy's own heart.

More Christmas 2008

"Beep Beep" (Jim's Dad) and Grandmommy came to our house Christmas morning to celebrate. The girls loved that!

Christmas 2008

This is Farrow Kate cleaning up cookies that Santa didn't finish. She was MUCH more interested in this than any of her toys. She was so glad he left some.
Christmas at my sister (Tara's). My mom and Mr. Thomas had been sick with stomach bug, so we opted for Christmas with them away from possible contamination. Everyone was well, and we had a great time.

Farrow Kate was destroying the decorations at my Dad's house. This ended up shattered, but he was very forgiving. He is pretty smitten with her.

"
"My Mac" (my Dad) and all of his grandkids except Farrow Kate who was getting a bath at the time.

This is my Grandmother (on the left) and her sister (Aunt Velma who is like another grandmother to me and Tara). They always look so festive for our Christmas get-together. By the way this is the grandmother that the "Claire" in Emma Claire's name comes from. She was 97 years old in April.
