Easter 2011

A beautiful day for this Easter Sunday. Thanks again to Grandmommy for the fabulous dresses.

I just thought this picture was great because it captures Farrow Kate just before one of her erruptions. Funny, but not so funny.

The Easter Bunny brought cool new goggles.

The Brashiers came down Saturday for an egg hunt. Griffin loved opening the eggs, eating the jelly beans out, and discarding of the eggs (no need for a basket). We are blessed with good neighbors.

Calvary Pre4 Easter Egg Hunt

Emma Claire has begged to have the Easter party at "her" house since last year. The weather did not want to cooperate, but after postponing for a few days, her wish came true. All 15 of her classmates and of course Miss Kevin Anne were able to come to her house. The Sanders were kind enough to let us borrow their rabbits. The whole class also joined in to release Abbigail Claire (the turtle) to the lake...not to mention the egg hunt, games, story time, and snacks. What more could a group of 4/5 year olds ask for. It was wonderful.

Turtle #2

When Jim and I got home from our recnet trip, our pool was the new home to a huge turtle. This one was not about to live in our house like Abbigail Claire did, so we let him join the hundreds living in Greenbrier lake.

Grandmommy's Birthday

Well we headed out to the zoo for Grandmommy's birthday with all 8 grandchildren, but... the weather was not cooperative. When we arrived in Memphis, it was 49 and windy. We unloaded at the zoo and quickly loaded back up and headed to the Children's Museum. Much better weather inside of there. I had never been to the Children's Museum, but it was pretty neat and I even got to climb all the way up in the jungle gym thingy (to rescue a screaming Farrow Kate). Happy Happy Birthday Grandmommy!

T-ball begins

Our long awaited first T-ball practice. Coach Joy and Dana were so patient with a group of girls who had never touched a bat (except for one gal). Emma Claire was so sweet out there really doing her best and grinning from ear to ear.

Balloon Festival Run/Play

The girls were all about running the fun run at the hot air balloon festival. Emma Claire ran with Jim and Farrow Kate ran with Kendra. I am not sure how much Farrow Kate actually ran, but she was running across the finish line with all grins.

Meet Abbigail Claire

We found this adorable little turtle in the pool. The poor thing didn't know his life would be so dramatically changed. We only planned to keep him/her unitl show and tell last Friday, but now the plan has changed to release him at the Easter party this Friday. We will see if that really happens.
