The hunt for an armadillo

I am officially on the hunt for an armadillo. We believe that is what is tearing up our sod (which we just layed this year). Sooooo, I went to Scruggs and bought a trap. My bait is worms and sardines. The first catch was Shug (our cat). She was not the least bit worried, and she really enjoyed her sardines. The next night, we caught this possum. Let's just say, he is no more. There has been activity in the trap every night, but so far, no armadillo. Needless to say, I am still on the hunt (and really probably enjoying it a little too much)

Instant Musicians

The girls think they are masters. They are loving "playing" their new piano- a Thompson family beauty. We are very honored to have it in our home. Maybe I will brush up too (although every time I sit down at it, I have lots of help)

Tea Party and Bike Exchange

The girls had an early morning tea party with their babies and bears.

Emma Claire bought this bigger bike from Mary Blake. Farrow Kate, in turn, bought Emma Claire's old bike. In all $5 was exchanged. They have had fun learning the value of a dollar.

Daddy turns #&!!!!!

Happy Birthday Jim. Everyone at our house loves a serious birthday celebration.

New Pet (for a day)

You never know what we are going to find out here on "the farm". Jim found a wild baby rabbitt out in the field. Of course the girls, and I, wanted to keep her. They named her Allie. After reading on the internet that they could not survive in human care, we let her go that same night back to her mommy.

Yes, this is her cage inside my kitchen!!!
